MEDNOSE - Electronic Noses for Medical Applications and Diagnosis of ENT Bacteria
The number of organisms responsible for ENT infections are relatively small. Major species of bacteria include Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureaus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Still however, diagnosis of infection can be a time consuming and expensive process as it depends on isolation and culture of the infectious agent. Finding alternative methods which can complement current analysis would greatly assist in diagnosis . The primary contribution of such an alternative method would be 1) fast identification 2) non-instrusive measuring system.
