Aims and Objectives

The Integrated Project Work is a mandatory two-term course for second year Master's students in Robotics and Intelligent Systems. The objective of the course is to provide an opportunity to integrate state of the art technology in robotics towards the aim of achieving a specific task. The task varies year by year, and involves the use of established research results developed at AASS and elsewhere, with a particular emphasis on integrating existing technology and developing the ability to work in tightly-knit, result-oriented workgroups. This year, the task is to develop a "robotic butler" which can fetch a drink from the fridge and deliver it to a person. The task builds on the results of last year's edition of the Integrated Project Work, and is to be carried out in the PEIS Home smart environment, and the butler is to be realized with an Naor Humanoid robot and a gripper built into the fridge.
